What you can expect fostering for us:
JustCare Animal Rescue & Sanctuary thrives on the dedication and love of fosters, who keep our world in motion. By choosing to foster, we can provide assistance to additional companions in need. Here is what to expect:

Why should I foster?

Benefits of Fostering Pets:

Fostering pets is a win-win scenario, benefiting all individuals involved. It helps local shelters and rescues by ensuring they can maintain appropriate levels of animals, and it allows them to have the capacity to accept even more animals in need. This means that fewer animals will be turned away and left without care or shelter. Secondly, it ensures that the pets have a warm and inviting living space while they wait for adoption. Third, foster parents can experience the heartwarming joy and satisfaction of supporting a pet in need.

-
Enhances a pet's likelihood of finding a home: thanks to foster families, pets can reveal their beautiful selves, acquire good manners, and gain behavioral skills that expedite their adoption process.
-
Abandoned pets, who have endured months or even years without a human family, can develop and enhance their social skills through regular interaction with other pets and humans. By allowing your foster pet to interact with humans and strangers, they will develop crucial social skills.
-
By fostering a pet, you can provide them with a second chance at life, saving them from being dumped or winding up in the wrong hands.

How can I foster?
-
For those interested in volunteering as a foster, we kindly ask that you fill out the online application. A JustCare representative will reach out to you by phone within 24-72 hours. We'll explore further, have more in-depth discussions, and seek additional information about this essential foster role.

What will I be required to pay for?
-
Your foster dog or cat's well-being is our priority, which is why we handle all the necessary expenses, including vet visits, vaccines, food, microchipping, and essentials.
-
You won't need to worry about spaying or neutering adult cats and dogs before fostering them, as they will already be spayed or neutered.
-
Puppies aged 6 to 9 months and kittens aged 5 to 6 months must have an appointment scheduled for spaying or neutering. That will be taken care of by us; please coordinate with a volunteer.

I have fallen madly in love with my foster! Can I adopt him or her?
-
Absolutely! Our volunteer fosters are more than welcome to fill out an adoption application. We will need to make sure this is the best fit for all parties involved and there will be a few more steps to adopt. Here is the adoption page for more information.
